1. Throughout the day on 29 i'zarch 1954, there w , inten;,ive individual nd
formation flying by twin-engine t_ ircreft at fleubraa.ndenburg airfield. At
5:30 p.m. on 1 April., 16 Li-2s were perked along the southern tzt.xiway. No
flying was observed.
2. The following air activity and aircraft were observed ct the field between
29 March and 7 April:

shown in squadron forrr;ation flying, source inferred that the pilots involved
were beginners. From dusk to shortly before midnight, individual. flights

25X1A CComn;ent. Neubrandenburg airfield is occupied by a transport regiment.
The regir.ent was believed to be equipped with a total of 30 Li-2s, but recent
observations indicate a nunber of only 16 to le" 11..2s. Efforts have Leon
initiated to clarify this point.
