1. The Soviet fighter units in Austria. were previously believed to be
located as follows:
I fighter division headquarters in Aspern with l .regiment each at
Asperns Deutsch Wagram and Parndorf airfields;
1 tighter division headquarters in Wiener Ieustadt with the portsining
3 regiments at. the same location; the third regiment was believed to
be a cadre unit.
This assumption of the location of Soviet fighter units has now been
disproved by Soviet documents recently obta.ined4 On the basis of this
information, the individual fighter units are now believed to be lo-
cated as fo4, ours:
10th Gds Ft Y'iq with the 111th end 113th Gds Ftr Fegts in Wiener Neustadt
and the 112th Gds Ftr Pegt in Parndorf;
the headquarters of another fighter division is probably stationed in
Jspern; the division is superior to 1 regiment each in Aspern and Deutsch
';Jag;ram.

bg According to all observations made,, the Fifty-~Ninth Air Army has 3 fighter
divisions, including 1 in Hungary, 1 at Wiener Neust dt airfield, and 1 In
the area east of Vienna, Besides Wiener Neustadt end Parndorf ai rf eic ,
only Aspern and Deutsch ',!,-gram airfields are occupied by fighter unit-? This
tends to indicate that the units at the latter two air fields belong to one
division." The division hecdgt ixters is Lelieved to e
located in Aspern. IA third regiment of this d ,vi ion has not been det r fined,
