1. The main task of the Communist Party of Chile (PCCh) in_relatidn'to international
Communist policy is to develop propaganda in support of the theory of negotiation
rather than force as a means of settling world conflicts. As interpreted by the
PCCh, the new line calls for Party support of any movement toward reaching under-
standing among the world powers by conference and negotiation.
2. As an example of this policy, the Party is giving propaganda support to Churchill's
call for a meeting of the major powers.
25X1 A Comment. This new turn to peace propaganda following the Korean armistice
1s pro ably designed as a prelude for propaganda to accompany peace settlement
negotiations.
