(FOR KEY SEE REVERSE) SOURCE: Following is a list of Russian personnel at the Elektroi~hemiSches Kombinat'Bitter- feld (EKB): 1, Vladimir Vasilyevich Belyayev, Doctor. General Director of EKB, Bitterfeld, from 1949 to 1951. He was a thorough-going Communist. He was born about 1895. 2. Mikhail Iosifovich Duk. Personnel Chief of EKB, 1946 to mid-1950. He was a fanatic Communist. He was 35-40 years old, short, with dark hair. 3. (Fnu) Fedorov. Was successor to Belyayev as General-Director of EKB, Bitterfeld. He. held this post for only a few months, in the spring, of 1952, and was then transferred to the Leuna Works as General-Director. He was born about 1895; is at least 180 centimeters tall; has dark hair. He seeme.to have had engineering training. He did not normally speak in German, but was capable of speaking it fluently. 4. Vladimir Timofeevloh' Ivanov. Jointly in~ charge (with Mukhin) of the power station at EKB. He returned to the USSR in the spring of 1950. He was an`elec- trician by training; a drinker and a ladies' man. 5. V.P. Knyazev, Colonel., Was in charge of the power station at EKB from 1946 to the end of 1947.. 6. (Fnu) Koohnev. Was in charge of the power station at EKE from mid-1950 to May 1952, when he returned to the USSR. He had been associated with the electric power net in Moscow and was an electrical engineer. 7. (Fnu) Margolin (Colonel). Was the first'General-Director of EKB, Bitterfeld, from 1946 to 1949. He was born about 1895. He became ill in 1949, returned to the USSR, and reportedly died of cancer. 8. Dmitri MW4ailovioh Mu#in, Chief Engineer. Was co-director (with Ivanov) of the power station at EKB, 1947 to 1950. Mukhin's training was in the field of heat- engineering. He was a member of the Communist Party. He was about 40 years old. 9. (Fnu) Plechenkov, Chief Engineer. Was on duty at EKB, Bitterfeld, 1946-1952, working on the staff of the General-Director on capital investment problems. He was born about 1900. He spoke-little German. He gave the impression that he came from the Caucasus, and that he had been in England and America. It was rumored at the plant that he was a "GPU" representative. 10. Georgiy Mikhailovich Pomortsev, Was Commercial Director of EKB from mid-1947 to the end of 1950. He was born about 1890-1895. He claimed to have been an ex- Cossack officer. Among other things he was in charge of the Reparations Section at EKB. 11. Tikhon Kuprianovich Povarkov, Was head of the Finance Division at EKB, Bitterfeld, from 1946 to mid-1951. He was born between 1895 and 1900. 12. (Fnu) Semenov. Chief Engineer, was assistant to Kochnev at the EKB power station 1950 to May 1952. 13. Ivan Mikhailovich Shutikov. Was in charge of raw materials purchasing at EKB from mid-1950 to spring 1952. He was 50 to-55 years old, formerly a village school teacher in the USSR.
