1. Yesterday I received three separate tasks from
Bud which he directed that I take care of immediately. There
was no opportunity to see you beforehand, although I tried in
each instance.
2. I asked Tish to route the letters of appreciation to
25X1 C the two Colonels from the Air Force back through you before
going to registry so that you have seen them. I also had to
send a cable of con raiulations to

that the Director, Dick Helms and himself have lunch with
Clark and discuss certain problems relating to
me as soon as possible.
I found out through OCR Liaison, who in turn
checked with State Department, that Clark is due in Washington
on the evening of the 14th and his plans include a talk with Rusk,
a visit to New York City for two days and a visit to the Agency
on 18 January. is checking with the Director to determine
his interest in lunching with Clark land the others and will advise
