1. HAI-KOU AIRFIELD IS LOCATED ONE NM SOUTH OF HAI-KOU. IT WAS
UTILIZED BY THE JAPANESE DURING WORLD WAR II AND HAS UNDERGONE
MAJOR RECONSTRUCTION SINCE JULY 1953.
2. PREVIOUS COVERAGE HAS BEEN PROVIDED BY ONE TALENT, 3 BLUE
SPRINGS, AND AT LEAST 4 KH MISSIONS.
3. RUNWAY: 7000 X 185 FT, E/W, CONCRETE, SERVICEABLE.
4. FACILITIES: ONE CONCRETE PARALLEL LOOP TAXIWAY WITH 2 CROSSOVER
AND 2 END CONNECTING LINKS; A DISPERSAL AREA WITH 21 REVETTED
HARDSTANDS LOCATED NORTH OF THE RUNWAY; A RESURFACED TAXIWAY AND
6 RESURFACED, REVETTED HARDSTANDS SOUTH OF THE EAST END OF THE
RUNWAY; ONE FIRING-IN BUTT; 2 CONCRETE ALERT APRONS; 4 CONCRETE
PARKING APRONS; 3 HANGARS; ONE OPERATIONS BUILDING WITH CONTROL
TOWER; A POL STORAGE AREA; AND NUMEROUS SUPPORT BUILDINGS.
ELECTRONICS INCLUDE GCA AND ILS FACILITIES.
5. FIGHTER AIRCRAFT COUNTS ON PREVIOUS MISSIONS HAVE RANGED FROM A HIGH
OF 66 FAGOT/FRESCO ON TALENT
