THIS BRIEFING BOARD DEPICTS FIVE BTR-40 ARMORED PERSONNEL CARRIERS
CARRYING HEAVY ANTIAIRCRAFT MACHINEGUNS FIRING AT THE RECONNAISSANCE
AIRCRAFT.
2. LOCATION:
THESE VEHICLES ARE PARKED ON A SIDE ROAD APPROXIMATELY 1,200 YARDS
NORTH OF THE
NAM DINH GIANG (RIVER), AND 0.5 NM WEST OF NGHIA HUNG.
3. MISSION READOUT:
UE 434F, 15 JUNE 1966, REVEALS FIVE BTR-40 ARMORED PERSONNEL
CARRIERS, EACH CARRYING DUAL 14.5 MvM HEAVY ANTIAIRCRAFT MACHINEGUNS
(ZPU-2), PARKED ON A ROAD WITH SMALL PERSONNEL TENTS PITCHED BETWEEN
THE VEHICLES. FOUR OF THE FIVE ZPU-2 MACHINEGUNS ARE BEING FIRED AT
THE RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT.
