SIGNIFICANCE: THIS BRIEFING BOARD DEPICTS ROUTES IN THE LAOTIAN PANHANDLE THAT HAVE BEEN RENDERED UNSERVICEABLE BY AIR STRIKES AND NATURAL DETERIORATION. 2. MISSION READOUT: REVEALS THAT ROUTE 911 HAS BEEN INTERDICTED AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS (NOT ALL SHOWN ON GRAPHIC): 1702N 10558E 1701N 10555E 1659N 10555E 1655N 10559E 1653N 10601E (UTM XD026842) (UTM WD978818) (UTM WD982795) (UTM XDO62717) (UTM XDO88670) REVEALED THAT THE INTERDICTION POINTS AT THE LAST TWO LOCATIONS WERE BEING BY-PASSED). A TOTAL OF SIX DAMAGED/DESTROYED TRUCKS ARE OBSERVED ON ROUTE 911 AT 1655N 10559E. REVEALS THAT ROUTE 92 HAS BEEN INTERDICTED AT 1618N 10637E (UTM XD737026). IN THE AREA OF BAN BAC, NEAR THE SE KONG (RIVER), ROUTE 92 AT 1551N 10646E (UTM XC901538) AND ALTERNATE ROUTE 92 AT 1550N 10645E (UTM xC888523) ARE BOTH UNSERVICEABLE DUE TO NUMEROUS INTERDICTIONS AND LANDSLIDES. These notes have been prepared for briefing purposes only and should not be used for detailed analytical work. REVEALS A PARTIALLY COLLAPSED EMBANKMENT FROM WEATHERINGS ON ROUTE 96 AT 154ON 10654E (UTM YC033333), APPROXIMATELY TWELVE NM SOUTHEAST OF BAN BAC. DEPICTS INTERDICTION POINTS ON ROUTE 96/110 AT 144ON 10720E (UTM YB514236), APPROXIMATELY TWELVE NM WEST OF THE TRI-BORDER AREA OF CAMBODIA, LAOS, AND SOUTH VIETNAM. IT IS NOTED THAT MOST OF THE REFERENCED INTERDICTIONS COULD BE BY-PASSED WITH A MINIMUM OF EFFORT; HOWEVER, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE TWO BY-PASSED INTERDICTIONS ON ROUTE 911, NO ATTEMPTS ARE OBSERVED.
