Recommendation Regarding Addition of Certain
Areas to Low-Level Reconnaissance Targets in
Cuba
REFERENCE . USIB-D-4.1. 14/65. (COMOR-D-24/81), 9 September,
Limited Distribution
USIB, at its 11 September meeting, considered the referenced paper
on the subject and, with respect thereto, took the following actions-
a. Concurred in the Chairman's suggestion that USIB action
on the COMOR recommendation in paragraph 5 of the reference should
be deferred at this time.
b. Concurred in the Chairman's view that such deferral did
not foreclose continued COMOR consideration and submission to USIB
as necessary from time to time of recommendations regarding
intelligence requirements and priorities for low-level reconnaissance
of Cuba.
c. Noted the Chairman's statement that, prior to presentation
to the Special Group of any additional or revised targets for low-level
reconnaissance of Cuba, he would wish COMOR and USIB to re-examine
on an overall basis this Cuban low-level targeting and priority problem.
