In re ewing the minutes of the AI Applica-
tions Working Group I think I detect one
gap which is fundemental to the way we
both view the problem. All of the require-
.ments.identified were based on the premise
that there is a collection of data on which
to operate. The problem is that this is
not true today. One issue which must be
addressed as an Al requirment is how we
can build the knowledge bases against which
we can apply our analytic tools.
I also see in the user.responses the lack
of understanding between data and intelli-
gence or knowledge. That concept needs to
be pushed.
