REQUEST Sen. Garn's designee on SSCI,,Gene Iwanciw,_has
requested a briefing on Soviet space activ.-4-ties with a -focus on
Moscow's intentions and the military applications of the Soviet
space program. The staffer may also question whether the US
government has allocated enough resources to adequately cover
Soviet space activities and to warn of their. future impact on US
security.
