SUMMARY: Diane had inquiry from constituent on death squad activities in El Salvador
and alleging CIA involvement. She offered that it was based on the
article in the 8 May ::issue.of., the Christian Science Monitor.
I read to Diane the Agency denial issued by PAO and then referenced
the HPSCI Report of 25 April (Report No. 98-709) House Resolution 467. She was
satisfied with my comments, and I suggested she call me if she has further questions.
(I also advised SSCI currently investigating same subject.)
