SUBJECT Intelligence Study of Internationals
1. This is to respond to your memorandum of 3 February 1984
forwarding Assistant Secretary Motley's request for a study of
the role of the various internationals in Latin America.
2. During the last year, we have completed a research paper
on the Socialist International and typescript memoranda on the
Christian Democratic and Liberal Internationals. These papers
analyze the politics of the organizations and outline their
worldwide activities, including what they are up to in Latin
America. I would suggest that we send these papers to you, along
with a new typescript that will focus on Ambassador Motley's
questions. We should be able to do this within the next two
weeks.
