1- During ris 1 Year 1%5, 1.941 employees includingdexlcs3s
were enrolled in internal support courses. We believe, therefore. that
thie school will become one of the targeet hoots in attendance, ind that
the broad spectruir, of its responsibilities wLfl demand the same degree
of profeselonal competence and stature as do our other schools. The position
of the Chief of the Support School should be oet&bUshad at the GS-lis level.
To accomplish this I had planned to use the QS-l6 position formerly desig-
nated as the Chief of the Language Tralatig School. However, this position
was eliminated in the recent supergrade review. Therefore. the Director
of Personnel will be requeeted to approve this position at the G3-16 level.
U such approval is received I will request the alloc;tion of a supergrade

-3. This proposal is not new. Various recommendations of a sim-
ilar nature have been made in the past but were never effected primarily
because there was less appreciable need or measurable gala at the time.
c believe now is an appropriate occasion and recommend, therefore,
that the Director of Traioing he authorized to proceed with the establish-
ment of a .7.,.upport Schooi in the Office of Training.
