MEMORANDUM FOR: All NE Staff and Branch Chiefs
SUBJECT: NE Division History
1. Attached is a proposed partial Table of Contents for the
series of essays that are to constitute the NE Division History.
"I. Introduction" and the titles prefaced by capital letters each
constitute a separate monograph. Naturally, these will be
varying lengths.
Z. Aside from the histories of the various Stations and Bases,
which are mostly to consist of succinct chronological summaries,
criteria vary fore selecting the topics of the various supplementary
monographs. For the most part, their subject matter will relate
to some operation that is outstanding for productivity, size. or
operational lessons taught.
3. Addressees are requested to review this Table of Contents
carefully, suggesting such additions as seem appropriate. remember-
ing that the greater part of our operations will be covered in the
separate Station and Base histories.
4. Responses to this memorandum are requested by 11 August
1965.
