a. I have sent to and COS/~ for
comment, copies of the draft report of my orientation trip to
Fort Bragg as given to you 26 February. When put in final.
form, this report, together with other materials available
on counter-insurgency, will be used in briefing per-
sonnel and in constructing some counter-insurgency instruc-
tion in CAO No. 54.
b. CI Familiarization No. 31 having been cancelled,
the only other readjustments in Headquarters Training sched-
i'les necessitated by the move appear to be to hold the last
two weeks of IRRR No. 38 and all of CI Operations No. 44 at
the new building and to postpone the starting time of CS&T
Operations two weeks, as noted in Mr.~s attached 25X1A9a
weekly report.
c. ACH/0.S, DT and I reaffirmed the desirability
25X1A6a of having - faculty visitors to Headquarters touch
base with the appropriate Headquarters Training faculty
member before visiting DDF Staffs or Divisions, in order to
avoid possible duplication of requests for assistance and
in order to facilitate the answering of any questions to
Operations School from the visited after the visitor has
departed.
d. I coordinated with WFS a draft
memorandum to JCS/J-[ (Plans and Policy) concerning the
la - 8 June FEE Course. We agreed it would be desirable
to have a senior JCS officer brief the group just prior

to its departure as to the goals of the course, stressing
its limitation to EEE and the reasons why it does not in-
clude other aspects of Ui or counter-insurgency.
