1. Attached hereto for your information and appropriate
action are excerpts from the - Station Audit report dated 25X1A6a
4 November 1955 on matters involving the real estate and con-
struction sphere of interest.
2. The Audit Staff at Headquarters specifically requested
that the office of Logistics consider the field auditor's
request for Headquarters comments and/or action on the following
points:
a. The field auditor's acceptance of station policy
of allowing certain employees not furnished quarters
to retain allowances paragraph 39 of Audit report excerpt;).
b. The field auditor's interpretation of quarters
provision of employment contracts and letters of authoriza-
tion (paragraphs 40 through 4+5 of Audit report excerpt).
3. In connection with the recommendations contained in
paragraph 4+7 of the Audit report, your comments on their com-
patibility with the real estate accountability and records
system established in existing regulations are specifically
requested.
