DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE OF PROJECT
Administrative Instruction charged OCD with responsibility for
procurement of books and period ca s for CIA. The Assistant Director for
Collection and Dissemination states that certain purchase requests for maps,
books, and periodicals are of such nature that open procurement by CIA
constitutes a security hazard, and this statement is concurred in by the
Skecutive for Inspection and Security. Assistant Director for Collection
and Dissemination requests that $1,000.00 of the amount of vouchered funds
allocated for subject purchases be transferred to an unvouctiered status.
Sufficient funds are available without a increase over prior authoriza-
tion. The Chief, Budget and Finance Branch, ill arrange for appropriate
accounting and reporting procedures.
