MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director (Support)
SUBJECT: operational Program, FI and CI Staffs, FY '56 and '57
1. A review by the DD/S support components of subject operational
programs resulted in the issuing of confirmation to the DD/P Review
Board that:
a. Adequate budgetary provision appears to have been
made in the operational programs for the support requirements
inherent therein.
b. No support requirements appear to exist in these
programs of such magnitude or extraordinary nature as to
require adjustment of the support capabilities of the DD/P
components.
2. As indicated in Attachment "A", FI Staff contemplates a
project which appears to require substantial numbers of
personnel and materiel needs. These requirements have not previously
been analyzed or brought to the attention of the support components,
In the discussion at the DD/P Review Board meeting, FI Staff indicated
that although the support requirements had not as yet been sufficient],y
identified to permit specific identification and costing, adequate
funds have been provided in the program to cover total costs. FI Staff
also indicated that they would develop specific support requirements
with the support components at the earliest practicable moment.
3. In respect to the PRC review of these programs, it is believed
that no reservations or qualifications with respect to support of the
