1. With reference to our conversation at lunch last
Thursday, I believe I tended to confirm your understanding
that we had promoted 25X1A9a
2. Actually, he was not promoted in the strict sense.
He came to my office as a GS-3 earning $3,770. We trained
him as a rnultilith operator and, since multilith operators
are under the LB scale, we had to pay him under that scale.
Agency policy provides that a satisfactory employee not be
duced in pay as a ree#ult of change from the GS to LF1
scabs. As a result, came to earn $57.20 a year more.
3. From what you said, the case is closed, but I did
want to be sure that my presentation of the facts to you
accurate.
