President Eisenhower has called a national conference on
occupational safety for March 25-27, 1958, to be held in Washington, D. C.
Secretary of.Labor Mitchell is in charge of the Conference ?nhich, by add-
ing transportation and mining for the first time, will embrace all seg-
ments of the American economy.
The tentative program will feature a number of simultaneous
workshops covering late developments on such topics as radiation hazards,
.~hnman motivation toward safety, the relationship between medicine and
~,aafety, as well as State safety consultation services and other timely
