Obtaining D. S.' Treasury Checks int of
Confidential Funds Obligations
In the past all Confidential Funds have been acquired
advances to Agent Cashiers by the Treasury Department (not
ehaned to the appropriation). After an Agent Cashier emends
funds, he puts in an accounting to Treasuuy, s ~ by a public
voucher signed by the Director, c ring an disbursements. This
accounting is charged to our appropriation.
2. ?hIs badly needed procedure provides for pates direct
frm ?rsasm7 for Confidential Funds purposes, rather than by an
Age nt Cashier. Normally the Director would have to sign every
voucher for which the Treasury makes paynent, but agreement has
been reached with Treasury that our psymerits can be accumulated
by us in an expense acct and me DCI voucher can be acc lied
pari. el* covering an payments in suspense.
3. Since this procedure is a major variance to the Agent
Cashier sue, which approved by the Director years ago,, I
