_l. You had asked i~Tanagement Staff t check out the recommendations
of -che Inspector General that the Px~oprie~a~~iccounts Branch should ,
receive an increase in T/0.
2. The attached reply from the Chief, T~Sanagement Staff concludes
niter studying the situation that a total staff of six (6) people
should be adequate to perform the properly assigned functions of this
Branch. He further recommends that a comprehensive study be made of
the functions of the Area Division, DD/P, Commercial Division, PAPS,
and the Proprietary Accounts Branch as they pertain to the planning,
implementation and operation of the proprietary projects. He does
not indicate who he feels should properly head such a study however,
I wonder if i~Tr. - would be in a position to coordinate this 25X1A9a
t,,~-pe of thing.
3. This information was needed in connection with the report to
tine ;director on the implementation of the IGts recommendations
concerning the Comptroller. T have passed his inf ormation on to
- verbally. iie will leave it in tl section o` the report 25X1A9a
that agrees with the IGts recommendations even though it is not a
100;; concurrence.
