Mr. Rodriguez:
The results of my poll for candidates for the Spring 1974
M.I.T. Program for Senior Executives resulted only in the
25X1A attached application of of the Office of
Development and Engineering.
25X1A
This Program, while under the jurisdiction of the Training
Selection Board, is paid for by the sponsoring component. OD&E
is willing to pa the tuition of $6800. However, you will note
that s almost 51 years of age - the M.I.T. age criteria
is 3 - 50.
I have gone back to OD&E to determine if there are any
25X1A underlying reasons for attendance not reflected
in the papers. There are none other than Mr. Dirks' enthusiasm
for the Program (he attended last year) and ou l d 25X1 A
like to attend.
My recommendation is that we not take this application to
the Training Selection Board and that I simply tell OD&E that
he is not eligible because of age.
I will then prepare a letter of regret to M.I.T. for your
signature.
