In view of the heavy workload in IRD, asked that we consider dropping any routine requirement for polygraph in connection with the RIP. He indicated that he felt that polygraphs should be utilized only when there are specific questions to be resolved, but should not be used as routine processing in reinvestigation cases. 2. Please prepare a memorandum for the Director of Security setting forth this general concept for his approval.
