LATIN AMERICAN AREA SEMINAR
The Latin American Area Seminar is designed
to provide Agency officers with both a broader
perspective on area problems and a deeper insight
into how such problems may affect U.S. interests
and future requirements for intelligence on the
area. It is organized to enable participants to
examine Latin American problems from a variety of
viewpoints, including those of Latin Americans,
academicians, and U.S. intelligence analysts.
Reading materials, lectures, and panel discussions
are designed to stimulate participation by members
and to facilitate sharing of experiences and ideas.
In addition, each member will be asked to prepare
a report on a particular area or country problem
for presentation during the final sessions of the
seminar.
