Project Status:
The RT/A-60 engineering model was demonstrated during this visit.
It. performed satisfactorily using both the KE/A-8 and KE-29 keyers.
RF lock-up was experienced when the RT/A-60 was used with the KE/A-8's
with the test jig attached. The apparent cause of this was the ground
loop in the test jig. No problems were encountered when the RT/A-60
was used with.the keyer alone. The transmitter was detuned and the
undersigned retuned it and changed the frequency using the test jig.
No problems were encountered during this procedure. The two deliverable
transmitters will be supplied with a short dipole antenna, All
deliverable items under this contract should be received on or about
28 November 1966.
