25X1A5a1 ' Mr. M demonstrated the PS-4V with the AN/PRC-25 transceiver.

Operation of the unit in the privacy mode was satisfactory and intelli-
gibility of the received signal was excellent. The only remaining
effort under this contract will be to integrate the PS-4V with the
transceiver, - anticipates no difficulty in 25X1A5a1
doing this. They will deliver all four PS-4V's, 24 additional code
cards, and all maintenance and instruction manuals on time. The PS-4V
is not designed for use with SSB transceivers. Mr. _ indicated 25X1 A5a 1
that the audio frequency response required for successful operation
of the PS-4V must extend from 1 kHz at 3 db down to at least 4.5 kHz
at 3 d.b down and out to 11 kHz at 10 db down, No SSB transmitter is
capable of this w ,th,
estimates that thePS-4V will cost approximately $1500
each in quantities of 100,
