Contractor's Performance: a., On schedule and expected to remain so: Yes b. Within obligated funds and expected to remain so: c. Satisfactory technical progress: Yes 7. Project Status: The PM-18 was delivered on schedule and-meets all specifications except for operation with a frequency synthesizer. The correction for this problem is simple, a small adjustment in input impedance and output level is all that is necessary. -However, there is some question as to what these specifications should be. Our new synthesizers have different output "specs" and the transmitters have still different input "specs". This problem is being actively pursued and should be resolved within a few days. Before proceeding with Phase II of this program there will be another increase in scope for Phase I. This increase is due to field testing beyond that originally anticipated, correction of RFI problems, and the writing of a final engineering report. Also any changes to the synthesizer input and output "specs" will cost more. I estimate that an additional $2,500.00 will be added to Phase I. 25X1A9a Distribution: R&D Subject File OL/PD/PCB/CAS R&D Lab OC-OS ESB Monthly (3) EP Chrono '15X1 A9a OC-E/R&D//-, 'b j1) Approved For Release 2000/0 (8 September 1966)
