At the time of the visit, the contractor had been running the tests for four days. Test results indicate that the demodulators "stack-up" Subsequent to a telecon with on 4 March 1963, the formal on-the-air testing was scheduled to continue until 22 March. However., the project engineer recommended during the telecon that the testing be terminated within the next several days. The data that was being obtained was becoming increasingly repetitive and no great service would be performed by continuing to take additional data of this type. It was felt that the effectiveness of each demod had clearly been demonstrated at this point. On 5 March _ was informed to stop the tests and begin preparation of a comprehensive engi- neering report describing the tests and performance of each demod.
