1. UK has informed CHINCOM of inquiry from Macao firm re
miscellaneous spares for 200 HP Gray marine diesels, total value
$56 to 8-i thousand dollars. Ultimate purchaser supposedly Mino
Trading Company, Shanghai. Spares include, e.g., tachometers,
dynamos. Believed for general industrial use and in fishing
vessels. (Further details reference Doc). China List coverage
200 HP diesels not specified UK memo, but appears be either old
item 2251 or 2255.
2. UK believes export undesirable but requests PC views which
scheduled November 3. Unless otherwise instructed USDEL will
support UK view.
