SUBJECT: Tabulation of Data on the 1955 Warsaw and
1957 Moscow World Youth Festivals
1. Attached for your information is subject tabulation,
prepared by the International Communism Division of this Staff
for Agency use and for distribution to other U.S. agencies. The
distribution to other agencies has been approved by 25X1A8a
2. The tabulation was compiled as an aid in evaluating the
relative success or failure of past and future World Youth Festivals;
in determining changes in the organizations, countries or areas
that appear to be the primary targets of Communist front activity;
in assessing whether our counteractivity in certain countries has
been successful; and in indicating additional areas in which
counteraction may be required.
