25X1A9a 1. I talked to and Dick Helms about the static display of certain
Clandestine Services equipment, and we agreed to pull out all stops in order to try
25X1A9a to complete this by 14 June. is handling this for the Deputy Director
(Support).)
25X1A9a 2. was out to brief me on certain developments in connection
with eme . As I understand it, President Kennedy has directed that
the entire problem of continuity of Government in case of emergency be restudied
and that the Office of Emergency Planning complete this action during August of this
year. Milton, therefore, recommended that the matters which he brought to my
attention in his memorandum of 20 March 1962 be held in abeyance with the exception
of the succession list.

25X1A9a 6. also advised me of a who with his 25X1A9a
wife has been mixed up with the police and the FBI; in fact, he has been in jail. I
25X1A9a told Bob it sounded to me like- had better resign without delay unless there
were extenuating circumstances which would not appear on the surface. (Bob will
interview him tomorrow and will give me a further report on the case.)

4. 1 advised Mr. Kirkpatrick that while and I were in
favor of transferring ELINT responsibilities to the Deputy Director (Research), we
felt strongly that this had to be worked out very carefully. Kirk has arranged to have
contact uz an attempt to work out the necessary 25X1A9a
5. advised me that a briefcase belonging to had
popped out of a courier car and had been picked up by a Navy officer. The briefcase
contained highly sensitive material, but Bob believed that there has been no compromise.
(However, he was looking into the situation which permitted it to be lost from a courier
car and will make a further report.)
