1. I spent approximately an hour with and his people during which
time they convinced me that they needed a small laboratory. They need this facility
now and cannot afford to wait until the new building is completed. In any case, this is
the type of activity that could operate at least as well---and probably better---at some
location removed from the building, and inasmuch as our building will not accommo-
date all of our people it would appear that this project at in the amount of
$80, 000, should be approved.
2. I had several conversations with
=about the proposed demolition of certain of our buildings in connection with the
construction of approaches to the proposed new Potomac River bridge. (See my Memo-
randum for the Record dated 27 March 1958.)
