Que, the unofficial organ of the Venezuelan Communist Party,
which`i`s published weekly in Caracas, made the following observa-
tion about the~CIA in its 21 Oct 66 issue:
"Senator Young denounced the CIA for contracting Vietnamese
murderers to vomit atrocities in the villages 'in the name of the
Viet-Cong."'
The statement was contained in a weekly editorial column written
~;y "Arturo Pym." It was made in connection with other examples
gleaned by the columnist of opposition of prominent Americans to the
war in Vietnam. The weekly regularly devotes a small percentage of
its paper to this sort of anti-US propaganda. The CIA is not often
mentioned in connection with US efforts in Vietnam.
