[CE R For Release 2001126? al - DP75-00149R FOIAb3b BEN BARKA KIDNAPING ATTRIBUTED TO CIA Moscow in Arabic to the Arab World 1900 GMT 30 November 1965--L 0 (Text) A strong wave of protest and anger is spreading throughout the world against a flagrant gangster kidnaping of-Ben Barka,,a prominent Moroccan personality. All honest people are disgusted with such dirty methods adopted by certain international reactionary circles against political personalities with whom they are displeased. Information recently published in the press sheds light on the masters and organizers of this dirty crime. Papers indicate that investigation of the kidnaping by French authorities clearly indicates that CIA prepared and implemented this plot. For example, it is absolutely clear that all; of the major suspects in the kidnaping, that is, those who directly carried it out, are people who have worked for a long time for American intelligence. Georges Boucheseiche; a major suspect, has worked for American intelligence since the time of the Algerian war, the course of which American intelligence service tried to influence in accordance with the interests of colonialism. In light of the new events, the nature of the recent flight by an American plane from Paris to Morocco seems clear. According to the JOURNAL D'EGYPT, the plane took off from a U.S. air base not far from Paris and headed toward a U.S. military base in Morocco, carrying one passenger. There is no doubt now that this passenger was Ben Barka, who was kidnaped on French soil. The base to which this prisoner was moved to is' al-Kenitray. JOURNAL D'EGYPT wrote two days ago that U.S. intelligence has far-reaching political aims and that it staged the kidnaping to destroy the strong leftwing Moroccan leader and complicate relations between France and Morocco. This new crime hatched by American intelligence has aroused worldwide indignation. The dirty face of U.S. imperialism, which is ready to commit the worst crimes for the sake of achieving its criminal aims, is thus exposed for all to see. Soviet public opinion, together with all honest people, feels genuine anxiety over Ben Barka's fate. The Soviet people denounce the criminal methods used by reactionary forces. The Soviet Committee for Afro-Asian Solidarity, in the name of millions of Soviet people, recently declared its strong support for the demands of progressive public opinion that speedy measures be taken to investigate this shameful case and determine Ben Barka's fate. The world must know what has happened to this prominent man of the anti-imperialist movement and about the organizers of this dirty crime. The latter should be denounced and given the punishment they deserve,. 'REACTION EXERTING DESPERATE EFFORTS IN SUDAN ? Moscow TABS International Service in Russian 2301 GMT 30 November 1965--L ;(Text) Moscow--TASS correspondent N. Belyayev comihents in PRAVDA on the persecution of democratic forces in the Sudan and Indonesia. He writes: "Desperate efforts by reaction in the Sudan and Indonesia prove that someone in the-Asian and African countries is trying to make use of the present international situation to direct- events into an anticommunist channel. Internal reaction in these countries is clearly determined to weaken forces coming out against imperialism." Touching in particular on the intentions of the Sudanese Government to ban the Sudanese communist party, Belyayev writes: "It is difficult to imagine a greater disregard of the national interests of the country. Clearly encouraged from without, separatist elements in the country's three southern provinces are sounding the battle cry of "independence" and separation from the North. This is a question of the territorial entirety of Sudan. (Sentence indistinct) At a time when the national unity of all patriotic forces is especially important,?the Mahjub government intends by its anti-communist decision to.split these forces." ed Approved For Release 2001/07/26 : CIA-RDP75-00149R000160360072-6 ; ut.:wU
