Names Young
An Executive
The appointment of a Burlin-
+game man, Ralph F. Young, to
vice president in,Bank of Amer-
ica's corporate finance. depart-
ment at the head office in San
Francico was announced today by
the bank's president, S. Clark
Beise.
Young, who began his banking
mcareer at the Broadway-BurIin-
game branch 'eight years ago,
receives the new title as a result .
of increased responsibilities in
corporate loan superfision, Beise
said.
Before advancing to assistant
vice president in the department
!three years ago,'Young was man-
: ager of one of the bank's branches
in the Fresno area. He joined
-Bank of America on a.. special
executive training program in
1954, r e.c,e i v i n g trnining at
Branches 'in Burlingame, Red-
wood City. and South P.Io Alto
over a two-year period. He was
assigned to branch service as a
general lending officer and later
aas a manager before moving to
corporate finance.
' Young. si'World War II air force
veteran, grad4aled from the Uni-
versity of .Michigan in 1948. He
was with the `l. S. Stateiepart-
merit and 'eent'al Inte11i6nce
agency for six'96rs before join-
ing Bank of Airierica.
