TODAY TO CHARGES OF OBSTRUCTING THE SENATE RACKETS COMMITTEE AND
A GRAND JURY BY DOCTORING HOTEL RECORDS OF BHONE CALLS MADE BY JAMES
R. HOFFA AND ANOTHER UNION PRESIDENT.
MRS. SALLY T. HUCKS.1CHIEF TELEPHONE OPERATOR AT THE WOODNER
APARTMENT-HOTEL, AND HER ASSISTANT, VIOLET A. DAVIS, WERE INDICTED
ON CHARGES THEY TAMPERED WITH PHONE RECORDS OF HOFFA AND JAMES CROSS,
PRESIDENT OF THE BAKERS UNION. THE WOODNER IS TEAMSTER UNION PRESIDENT
HOFFA'S WASHINGTON HOME. THE BAKERY UNION, OUSTED FRt)M THE AFL-CIO,
ALSO HAS A PERMANENT SUITETHERE.
THE TWO WOMEN WERE PLACED ON $1,500 BOND FOR TRIAL FEB. 8.
