This article is not nearly as taut as most Fortune articles,
but does appear to do a. pretty good job of describing the scope
of the problem and why the computer has the potential to
provide individualized instruction in some areas.
Their ball park programming cost of from $2, 000 to
$6, 000 per student hour might be a helpful number to keep in
mind along with the "family tree" on page 123.
I can't help but get the feeling that the lash-up between the
publishers and electronicers may represent a consensus that
you can't educate the educators sufficiently to make them a
worthwhile party to the proposition.
