1. It is possible that Bob Bannerman may call you regarding
an interim ADP system for use by the Office of Logistics.
2. Wade has proposed two basic options:
a. Proceed with an adaptation of the system now used
in DD/S& T, or

Logistics use of the interim system because:
a. The slight expansion and adaptation of the program
developed for DD/S&T can be done quickly.
b. The procedure is pretty well tested out.
c. Much of the basic detail such as standard names for
industrial organizations, etc. , are now in existence both as
separate lists and in the Project Officers' Handbook, and
most of these have been worked out withi and
his Logistics people.
d. If by chance the DD/S&T does pick up more responsi-
bility for the total Agency R&D effort, access to this statistical
information, which can be made available by the introduction of
this system into Logistics, will be most useful.
