SUBJECT: Prospective Contract Actions to be Eff-ecti've
1 July 1967
1. In the past there has-been a heavy load of contract pro-
cessing at or near the beginning of the new fiscal year to obtain
necessary approvals for desired follow-on action to contracts
expiring as of 30 June.
2. It is requested that all such proposals this year be
submitted to ODD/S&T not later than 1 June 1966. This will
permit a more orderly review of the request and at the same time
should alleviate contractor anxieties concerning our plans.
3. It should be recognized that these proposals necessarily
will be subject to the availability of funds.
