Subject: Weekly Report - Week ending 23 May, 1947
I. PROJECTS CARRIED OVER FROM. PREVIOUS WEEK:
I. Intelligence Terminology
Held meeting last Friday. Decided at meeting to hold
meetings starting 27 May as nearly continuous as possible in order
to complete definitions on our original list. Now almost half
through them. JIS stated there was no need for further submission
of agreed on definitions to agencies since they were empowered to
act for them.

No further information received on memo Isubmitted to
Chief, ICAPS, last week.
4. Monitoring of AP broadcasts by CIG
Our memo returned with remark to proceed with interdepart-
mental meeting on agency willingness to subscribe to local service
after General Counsel's comments had been received. General Counsel
will call on ICAPS Tuesday morning at 1100.

1. Meeting with JIS to consider JIC paper recommending transfer
of JANIS to CIG. Final paper which should reach JCS in about 10 days
should be satisfactory to CIG. Recommend submission of TAB 4-1 'at about
same time JIC paper reaches JCS.
