Issued interagency invitation to round-table on intelligence libraries (Although not so specified this should lead to a discussion of the allocation of the research responsibility among the agencies, It may also lead to a plan for centrali- zation of basic intelligence.). 2. Special attention has been given to start preparation in ORE for the taking over of basic intelligence. 3. Investigated Special Document Services (SDS) at Baltimore at War Department request. 14. Issued proposal for development of NIR on USSR, Middle East, and Korea. 5. Completed allocation of collection responsibility on NIR China. 6. Continued efforts to locate librarian for ORE Reference Center. 7.
