1. Col. White wants an updating of the old Logistics study on where in the 25X1A
metropolitan area our employees live. I aske to write a memorandum to
Logistics on this. There is no urgency and I gave them a 1 November deadline.
2. ame in to discuss their relationships with
DD/S and components. I explained to Art that DD/S support to his office should
come through his support officer and, if necessary, throug Policy 25X1A
matters and other matters that cannot appropriately be handled in is manner should
insofar as possible be directed to the Support Office concerned. However, if he was
unsure, he could always direct it to the DD/S and we would make proper referral of
it. I think Art had in mind that we should have one officer on your staff with whom. he
could deal on all matters having an impact on the Support Directorate. I expressed
the view that this would only slow matters up and should be more of a last resort rather
than a first action.
3. WTTG came out to take pictures of the building, both inside and outside,
today. They were turned away at the gate but then they went around to the back gate
and took some pictures. Later they went to the BPR and set up their cameras again.
A patrol car was sent to stop them, but before it got there, they packed up and left.
