SECRET Approved For Rese 2002/01/25 : CIA-RDP72-00341ROG+100080051-9 DIARY NOTES DD/S 29 August 1966 At the Executive Committee Meeting today... 1. Excuses for American Legion Parade: I mentioned that we estimate that about 10% of our personnel will be excused to attend the American Legion Parade this afternoon. 2. GSA--2430 E Street Buildings: I advised the Committee that GSA, on behalf of the Department of State, has been making inquiry concerning South, East, and North Buildings at 2430 E Street in light of a DOS plan for expansion in this area. I advised that we didn't know how serious State interest may be but that if 22 they do want these buildings, GSA and State must provide a quid pro quo which wi115X1A adequately meet our requirements. This certainly would take about two years. 4, Director's meeting with Recruiters: Mr. Helms raised a question as to the amount of time proposed for the 8 September meeting with the recruiters. I suggested, in view of his busy schedule, that the meeting could be limited to his meeting the recruiters and a simple "hello, " and further that the recruiters wanted to meet him since they are in the field and come to headquarters only a few times a year. Mr. Helms said he would advise later as to whether or not he can keep this schedule. (Elizabeth later advised that the time has been set for 10 a.m. in the Director's Conference Room.)
