I mentioned to Colonel White that we propo sed to
p n contract with the Office of Logistics at $9000 a year to
work full time on Agency fine arts activities. I pointed out that we were
working very closely with the Fine Arts Commission and that practical
implementing work falls on the Office of Logistics and talents 25X1A
could be well applied to Agency beautification programs. Colonel White fully
agreed.
2. I had two discussions with Jack Smith, newly appointed DD/I, as
to the administrative career program within DD/I. On the second meeting
we arrived at full agreement which will be the subject of a separate memo-
randum.
3. I called a meeting of Mr. Fuchs Mr. Echols and Mr 25X1 A
~o discuss disputed classification review o the ice of Finance. After
some discussion of certain issues for clarification purposes I made a decision
that the agreed upon classifications of positions between nd Mr. 25X1A
Fuchs would be accepted with the raising of one position, which was in dispute,
by one grade. The remaining 15 positions, which were in dispute, I accepted as
presently classified by Personnel and agreed that they would be subject to
re-review one year from this date. On one position on which there was some
doubt, will currently review and come up with a position.
