DD/S 3 June 1966
1. Bob Fuchs advised that the as a surplus of $86,000. 25X1A
They do not need this money for any improvemen s anti t eIvas originally built 25X1A
at Agency expense. Disposition of part of this surplus was discussed. It was agreed
that Fuchs will prepare a memorandum to the DD/I for my signature whereby I
propose to obtain approximately $50, 000 of this sum to be used for Agency purposes,
such as, supplementing the Employees Activity fund and possibly the Educational Aid
Fund.
2. Weapons Report for the DCI: I noticed in the minutes of the Executive
Committee meeting of 20 May that the DCI had asked where his "gun" report was. I
spoke t and later t s to exactly what else the DO 25X1A
desired since a report on this matter a been submitted by the Task Force. It
appears the DCI still wants a recommendation on th e ultimate weapon or weapons for

3. At the Executive Committee meeting Bud Wheelon complained that the
revelation of a DD/S&T as not approved25X1A
by him and had caused t e cance a ion o e con ract a ter pu icity on its existence.
I subsequently advised Wheelon that the decision in this matter had been formulated
at a meeting on 20 April with three representatives of DD/S&T present and had been
approved, after consideration of all factors, at the Executive Committee meeting of
21 April. Colonel White, Mr. Helms, and the DCI all participated in the latter
decision represented DD/S&T. Wheelon was in Europe at the time.
He was satisfied with this explanation.
