I happened to see an article in "Parade
Magazine" by you in which you gave as your favorite Bible
passage, "Ye Shall Know the Truth and the Truth Shall Make
You Free". It is quite an extraordinary coincidence that
several weeks ago. - and before I saw your article, - I
contributed this same quotation to "This Week" which is
carrying a series of favorite quotations, not limited to the
Bible. I imagine that one of these days my contribution will
appear in that magazine; however, you have deservedly stolen
a march on me, but I thought that you might be amused at the
coincidence.
Furthermore, as you know we are now in
process of starting the construction of the new headquarters
for C. I. A. out near Langley, Virginia. It has always been my
purpose to use this quotation prominently as an inscription on
the building, It seems to me particularly appropriate for the
work that I am doing.
