export U.S. tire raking rachinery to the USSR and other uropean soviet
bloc countries, it would be appreciated if you would provide a
coordinated intelligence study of the Soviet bloc tire position, including
ini*orration sich as Soviet bloc production; production Psi vehicle
population, current and planned; irmports and exports of tires; military
as against civilian tire usage and types; production in the Soviet bloc
of tire raking r achinery, carbon black, tire cord, processing chemicals
and other essentials to tire production; and such other related infor:ation
as you tip mat be useful to the Operatin Coi ivittee in establishing
U, S, export control policy in this field.
