This is to acknowledge your several letters of
13 April, the first concerning the AEC position on US-
Soviet exchanges of visits, a second giving information
on US scientists who had been invited to the Moscow
conference an High Energy Particles, and a third
attaching a copy of your letter to the Department of
State concerning certain proposals for travel by
Soviet scientists to Cornell Univa:caity and elsewhere
in April.
All of this information was promptly communicated
to the LAC Standing Committee on Exchanges, and was
used in its work, in which the AEC is represented, of
course, by far. Reichardt. In addition, and pursuant
to an oral discussion of the matter at the last meeting
the Intelligence Advisory Committee, I have caused
your A. :C statement of position to be formally circu-
lated to the IAC (as LAC-D-103/L, dated U May 1956).
